Constructing drop-down menus in products

In vBulletin 3.6.x we can construct drop-down menus in products by using:

select:piped
1|Option 1
2|Option 2
3|Option 3

In 3.5.x this doesn't work yet so some of my hacks at vBulletin.org are unusable on 3.5.x even all other codes are compatible with those versions.

Can you please implement this in 3.5.x? Thanks in advance.

Version 3.5.x is no longer being developed as it has been replaced with 3.6.x. Only bug fixes and/or security patches are released if required.
