I recommend creating a new task for use in the Scheduled Tasks system. The task would contain code to rebuild the ranks. For help with this I recommend you post on www.vbulletin.org.Leave a comment:

Update User Titles and Ranks
As a cron job?
i have members coming in and out of subscribed member groups. Once the subscribe, they join the "premium" usergroup.
When this expires, i require the rank to be removed.
I have set the rank to be if = to this usergroup, but so far, the only way to do it is to run the update user ranks and titles in maintenance.
how would i run a cron to do this when my subscription cron runs?

What cronjob is responsible for updating the users titles?

I added a new Usergroup "XYZ" based on posts (1000). I ran the Update User Titles and Ranks and checked a post for a member with 1300 posts and title did not change
