    Bots bypassing image verification

I'm having serious trouble right now,
spambots have been registering and post links to porn..One even linked to child porn...

I'm guessing they are using some exploit..

So obviously I can't have this on my forum.

I have turned on email validation for now,
    which is stopping them,
but is there any way to fix the image verification?

    (I'm using 3.5.4 patched to 3.5.5)

Upgrade to 3.6.0. It has a much better captcha, especially if your server has ImageMagick available.

However don't be surprised if these are people registering then turning posting over to a bot once they've done this. There is not much you can do to stop that from happening.

Well I wasn't planning on upgrading to 3.6.0 until you move on to 3.7.0 lol..But I'll consider it

No for several reasons I am not upgrading.

But is there any way of a system to enable image verification for the members' first post?
