"Lost Password Recovery Form" Shows Even When Login is Correct

Hello;

I've noticed that if your first login attempt fails but then your second one succeeds vBulletin still shows the Lost Password Recovery Form.

The Lost Password Recovery Form says: "If you have forgotten your username or password, you can request to have your username emailed to you and to reset your password. When you fill in your registered email address, you will be sent instructions on how to reset your password."

That might be confusing to some folks. They might think that their login has again failed.

Can anybody tell me how to direct successful 2nd or 3rd login attempts to a different page?

Hmmm...I can't suplicate this problem at all on my iunhacked 3.5.4 test forum. That goes away after the second successful attempmt. Have you installed any hacks or plugins?

No, I'm talking about this forum right here (the vBulletin.com forum) as well as the vBulletin software that I bought.

If I type in my username, volitics, and then mistype my password it of course won't let me enter this forum right here. The forum software I bought is doing the same thing.

On the second attempt if I type both my username and password correctly it will log me in - but it will still output the "Lost Password Recovery Form."

Log out of this forum and then follow the above steps and see what I'm talking about (i.e. first mistype your username and password then on the second attempt enter your username and password correctly).

The three images below are screenshots of 3.6.0 Beta 4 forum on the vbulletin.com web site. They show exactly what I'm talking about. My vBulletin software program is doing the exact same thing.

Okay, I misunderstood what you were doing. I'm not sure why you are going to the Lost Password page but if you feel this is a bug, then please report it in the Bug Tracker.
