vBulletin copyright display method?

I'm thinking of taking a minimalistic approach to my site redesign, and would like to know if having the vBulletin copyright text as "alt text" for an image is acceptable.

    Look here: http://www.openswitch.org/
Scroll to the bottom and notice the nice clean "powered by" images in the footer. Hover over them and you see the copyright or shout-out text... That's what I'd like to do.

Is this okay? If not, what's a good alternative?

    Hello,

No sorry, the text has to be clearly visible and complete.

Okay, that's what I was thinking. No problem, I'll just put it as a image above the bottom footer
and to the left - Along with the vBSEO copyright Thanks for the reply!

        You could change this:

        Powered by vBulletin Version 3.5.4
        Copyright ©2000 - 2006, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.

        to this:

Powered by vBulletin - Copyright ©2000 - 2006, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.

        removing the version &
.. saves you one line and the other line is smaller.
