    Hourly Cleanup's functions

I couldn't find any sufficient info in forum and in manual on what exactly Scheduled Task's Hourly Cleanup #1 and #2 do.
Could somebody fully explain their functions, please?

If you know PHP, MySQL, and vBulletin, you can read

    /includes/cron/cleanup.php
    /includes/cron/cleanup2.php

Cleans up old sessions, old searches, forum / thread markers, attachments that were uploaded but not used etc.

Just general cleanup of old data.

What about old posts / threads? Are they deleted by Cleanups?

If you want to prune/delete old threads after a specified period of time, you can set up a Scheduled Task to do this. I think most vB users would be pretty mad if, out of the box, it deleted people's posts.

Some people believe in pruning/archiving. I don't. I want every post since the beginning of time.

This is killing my server every hour to the point that it reboots my server..

                How important is this?
How many times should I set this to run weekly?

Did you look at the contents of the 2 files:

                  /includes/cron/cleanup.php
                  /includes/cron/cleanup2.php

                  Another topic about this:
