Disabling subscriptions for a certain forum?

We have an anonymous user hack that we use in a special forum. We *thought* we had all the permissions (and other various things) set so that the anonymous user's identity was protected, even from mods/super mods. I learned today that if someone subscribes to a thread in this particular forum (the only forum on our board that allows the anonymous user hack to be used), they get a PM or e-mail telling them the real identity of the anonymous user (saying that so-and-so just updated the thread, thereby stripping them of all protection).

Is there anyway to turn off subscriptions for just this forum? Just an FYI, this is a sub-forum of a child forum.

There is no function to do this per forum. This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however you can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.
