    Struggling with Smilies

I have been fighting with smilies for three days. I installed new smilies and they still are not showing up and for some reason when I try to add them it says (No smilies were found that have not already been added), I have tried everything I know to do!

    Robin

    Please help!

And what are you doing *exactly*?

Well, I have changed where the folder is located, tried to set the permissions for the directory as I have read? (chmod'd to 777) I am totally lost? I am not an expert by any means at this sort of thing, but I have run out of options here. I tried deleting all the smilies and reinstalling them ans it still says I am trying to install smilies that are already there? I just don't get it?

For future reference, when I say *exactly* I mean *exactly*.

For instance what directory did you use? In order to help we need all the relevant details.

          Ok, vbforums
          /images
          /smilies

I set the permissions at 777.

That is as specific as I can be? I am sure as a newcomer the problem is on my end, but at this point I have no idea what I am doing wrong?

Those are the wrong paths. You need to use relative paths.

Also you've listed two paths and there can only be one. What are you doing exactly?

I put the smilies into the smilies folder and then attempted to add them via the control panel I put in the path images/smilies, I got the error :

No smilies were found that have not already been added

The smilies I uploaded were put into the same folder as the smilies I already have and use now. So I am not sure as to what the problem is.
