    MySQL issues

    I keep getting SQL errors like the one below and similar, indicating there is something wrong with MySQL server. I've contacted my host and got feedback saying there is nothing wrong, suggesting vB is the cause of errors.
    Invalid SQL:

    UPDATE vb3session
    SET lastactivity = 1141981201, location = '/forum/search.php?do=getnew', inforum = 0, inthread = 0, incalendar = 0, badlocation = 0
    WHERE sessionhash = '202be2bc04e9070bb0f8a3f935eb7eaa';

    This means that the connection to your mysql database was interrupted.
    This could mean that either the connection is a problem, if the mysql server is on a different server, or that mysql is overloaded or if the mysql server was rebooted.
    I recommend you ask your host if he know anything about this.
    Best Regards

      We've had some problems before due to connection problems, but the host is persistent claiming there are no such problems connected to our account...

        This is a server issue. You'll need to contact your host about this. Here are the reasons for the MySQL server going away:

          We just moved the forum to another host, and we're still getting MySQL errors:

            That generally means that the settings in your config.php file aren't correct.

              The settings have been the same for almost a year, and it's funny how they suddenly can stop working... Anyway, due to other circumstances we decided to switch host, and tried to do a fresh install of vB and now we're getting the same error messages at step 2 in the install process...

                You moved to a new host and almost certainly the db info has changed.

                This error means either:

                1. The info in your config.php file is wrong (in which case your forums wouldn't work at all), or

                2. MySQL crashed, it's not running or it can't find the socket. You need to contact your host about this. Here is more info on this error:

                  Managed to complete the installation of a fresh vB-version, but still get MySQL errors (at this point not as many as before). Funny if two different hosts on two different servers should have the same problem.
