Email notification of subscribed thread

Let's say I subscribe to this thread then I go to another forum on this site. While I'm reading/posting in another forum, someone replies to this thread (which I am subscribed).

Will I get an email notification of their reply? Or is the notiifcation only sent if I'm logged off of the entire site?

I believe that you should get a notification, but you will not get another untill you revisit the site.

So you get notification one for a thread that it has been updated with a poster, if 10 more people post, you will get no more notifications unless you haven't visisted the site. If you are constnatly on the site youi will get each notification of a new post.

I was just trying to figure out why I don't always get notifications and it seemed like the reason was that I was still on the site when someone replied.........
