    suspended ! . . and I dont know what 2do !

    Hi all,

My problem is that the hosting company have been suspend my website because of problem due the VBulletin forum that manage my site !

I receive this email today :

    Hi,

We have rebooted the server and it is back online.

There is a large number of MySQL connections to the database
cksucom_vb351 ( domain : cksu.com ) which is causing the server load to rise
and it will finally lead to the server down time. You can verify it using
the command ' mysqladmin proc ' in the command prompt. You may suspend the
    site cksu.com in this regard.

Please check the same from your end.

    Kind regards,

    The site uses vBulletin 3.5.1
    With around 11,500 registered members,

I closed the forum now !
    and I really confused

    What I have to do . . ?
Is the problem from the forum database , and if it's from it . . how can I solve if . . ?

Please give me ur suggestion ,

    Thanks ,

Is this a shared server? It sounds like your site is too big to be on a shared server....

with 11,500 members you must be making enough money to get even a small/cheap dedi-server for your forum.

Do you have any hacks, modifications, plugins that you are running?

How many users online do you have? On average? At peak on average?

Yeah, I would concur with the original replier. You NEED a bigger server for this size of board, and you should be making sufficient funds to cover the costs with this number of users.

I see your replies concerning your ad program, and that's just a pity that you left it a little late for getting sponsorship.
However, you have good amunition now to be able to hunt for sponsorship in your local area, or even online.
Some hosting companies may even be prepared to take you on-board for free with that amount of users. It would depend on the demographics of your users of course, and as to whether the potential exists for any particular sponsor to be able to recover their costs.
Only you will know the answers to many of these points, but whatever they may be, there WILL be a market opening for you.
I'm presuming as a student site that you have quck access to a marketing department within your institution. They should be able to assist with demographics and target market.

Also, you might wanna pop over to webhostingtalk.com forums, you can advertise for sponsors in the appropriate forums in there if you wanna give something like that a try. You never know what might blow your way.

            Good luck with your endeavors.
