    Locating an Attachment

I recently moved all attachments out of our database which went just fine.

On occasion, I find it necessary to locate an attachment to modify it and I am unable to determine how to easily locate the file. Can someone explain to me how the directory structure for attachments is organized and how to relate it to the post or the attachment file itself?

Attachemnts are stored according to userid. For instance all attachments for user 1234 are stored like this:

    ...attachments/1/2/3/4

I would not mess with the attachments directly. This could cause db problems.
