    Domain Whitelist Error

Alot of my users, to include me, have gotten this error while navigating the site:

In order to accept POST request originating from this domain, the admin must add this domain to the whitelist.

You can add the appropriate domains here:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> General Settings -> Post Referrer Whitelist

Change CKEditor Colors to Match Style (for 4.1.4 and above)

      Steve,

I have experienced this problem on my site as well and have fixed the error display by following the instructions which has highlighted a new problem. I am using the cmps as the homepage for the site (www.dirtbikeworld.net) - feel free to tell me to sod off to vbadvanced.com for this question if it is not appropriate here - but we also own the domain www.dirtbikeworld.net.au. If you access the .au domain and tried to login you used to get the error (the addition of the .au domain to the whitelist fixed this) but when the page refreshes it still shows the user as logged off even though if they click the link to the Main Forums on the page they will access the .net site and be shown as logged in.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

      Greg

Cookie domain is set to .dirtbikeworld.net. How can I set it up to allow both the .net and .net.au domains.

The example in admincp tells how to setup for forum.example.com and example.com but to aetup for our domains is not quite so obvious.

Leave it blank, and it will take care of myself.

                Sorry Zachery,

That doesn't fix the problem. It still works for the .net domain and still doesn't work for the .net.au domain.

                Any other suggestions?

Cookies are domain specific and cannot be shared between domains (.net and .net.au are different domains.)

If your cookie domain is set to

domain.com then only cookies can ever be set for domain.com not domain.net.something

Your users will need to login again to your other domain, it would be in your best intrests to redirect them to your main domain.

                      Thanks Gents,

Guess it is back to the ISP for some domain forwarding.

                      Cheers.

That option is not available in 3.5.0. You need to upgrade to 3.5.4 (which you should do anyway for security issues.)
