member can't change avatar, whitelist error

We upgraded to 3.5.1 last week. One member says she's been trying to change her avatar since the upgrade but gets the error:

In order to accept POST request originating from this domain, the admin must add the domain to the whitelist.

She is not trying to upload an image, but is trying to choose one that is in our avatar gallery.

I am able to change my avatar, as are other members. But if she can't, then there are probably other members that can't but haven't said anything.

    What can cause this?

Try logging in as this user to see if you have the same problem. If you don't, then the cause is somewhere on their end. It's impossible to know exactly what it is but some possibilites are: browsers, browser settings, Internet and security settings, ISP and/or cache issues, firewalls, ad-blockers, and any other application that affects Internet content.
