when tried to upgrade from 3.5.0 to 3.5.1 it says this

Chances are you don't have root access and also root does have a password.

You haven't edited your config.php to use the proper varibles.

Try disabling your plugins in the admincp under the vBulletin options to see if this fixes the problem.

alright I found out what stopped it from working
a hide hack component in the Hook Location : postbit_display_complete
i should uninstall the hide hack

and mention your issue to the author of that plugin if you recall which vbulletin.org thread he/she posted it in.
