Our board is a 'closed' one where users have to register to even view the contents of forums.
I started to use a special 'guest' login, under the 'guest' usergroup and set it to allow viewing in all forums, but no posting (similar to unregistered group). This way we can give a user temporary access to view our board.
However, after I set this up, I noticed that the 'guest' usergroup is reserved and used by vB for: A 'guest' is any visitor to your board who is not logged-in as a member. This could be because they have not yet registered, or because they are a registered member who has logged out.
If vB uses it, should I select and modify a different usergroup for my purposes? (Or, is there a better way to provide a temporary 'visitor' type login?)
