How can I display ads for specific user groups using conditionals?

I'm really not very well-versed with these conditionals but I'd like to have the ability to show certain types of ads (popunders, leaderboards, etc.) for specific usergroups.

For example, I'd like guests to see popunders and leaderboards and non-supporting members to see leaderboards. Oh, and supporters to see neither. So I suppose I'd like for the two ad types to show-up for a few specific groups (guests, awaiting confirmation, banned). The leaderboards would show up for regular registered members. And none of the above for supporters...

Would somebody be so kind to give me a good example how to do this? I'd really appreciate it..

Thank you. Now I'm not sure what the "usergroup" text should be. Does this look right?

        <p>Stuff for usergroup 2</p>
    <else />

Okay, so that code didn't work. When I use (at the top of my header template):

<if condition="$bbuserinfo['userid'] == 1">
    <p>a</p>
<else />
    <if condition="$bbuserinfo['userid'] == 2">
        <p>b</p>
    <else />
        <p>c</p>
    </if>
</if>

...I get the letter "c" whether I'm logged in or not.. What am I doing wrong?

Okay. Here's my latest failure...

<if condition="$bbuserinfo['userid'] == 1">
<p>guest</p>
<else />
<if condition="$bbuserinfo['userid'] == 2">
<p>registered</p>
<else />
<p>not guest or registered</p>
</if>
</if>

Guests get "not guest or registered".
I'm in my own usergroup and I get "guest".

Any help would be appreciated...

You're using userid's and it seems like you want to access usergroups. Therefore, try using

$bbuserinfo['usergroupid']

if you want to show an advertisement to viewers that are unregistered, registered members and awaiting email confirmation you would use the usergroup ids 1,2,3 within the array.
