Yes. If I goto http://<ip>/vbulletin/admincp/tools.php, I get a 500 response code. I can't understand why this is the case. Can I use a SQL statement to update the password instead?

It's running on a dev box. Every other pages work except this one. As inquired, can you please let me know how I can update the password via direct dB access? This would be easier and quicker than resolving the web page issue.Comment

You can set the password like this:
UPDATE user
SET password = MD5(CONCAT(MD5(password'), salt))
