CMS / Portal configuration in vb3.5?

I've searched high and low. I've seen sites with portals / cms incorporated on the main page.

Is this all a feature of vb3.5, to be configured and all set to go? Or is one coming later and I should get a 3-rd party software plug-in for now?

vbadvanced requires modifications to the vbulletin php files thus voiding your support. Use this at your own risk.

Almost all portal software will do this, esp if you want it intergrated into your forum.

And the worst: They´re not a CMS.
The Sites you saw, eg. News sites, are custom made.
Some CMS developer will working on integrations with the new Data Manager what ever Feature of vB. But Jelsoft makes it not easy.

Subdreamer does not alter the VB tables. Works very well.

new indexes and thats all. vBPortal doesnt modify only a single file. Thats all. It have a few other problems, but not the one that it is modifying any vBulletin File or even tables.

So how is it differnt from vBadvanced's product then? (specificly about the modification of files / database. vBa modifies one file, and adds new tables.)

I am sure vBadvance is a nice piece of software and works well. vBPortal is just closer to a real CMS then vBa is (even there are still missing some features).

And, since vBa modifies one file and vBportal does not modify a file at all, there is a diffrence. How much it will weight in a descission which software someone will use is a personal descission.

                        Best regards
