    Showing threads options

I just can't seem to find the setting for Display Options "Showing threads"
I would like to set the default to "From The Beginning"

I have a few categorys with not alot of threads, but very good info & I think alot of my members dont see them because they are not listed because of their age.

    Thanks!

Edit: I read that wrong. Sorry!

The default age can be set on the forum under Default View Age

right.. But I want to set the default for the whole forum? The default now is set for "Last Month" & I would like to set it to "Beginning" for all my members.

Yes, that was for the forum default. If you have rights to run SQL queries in the ACP, there is an option to override the user default at the very bottom of the dropdown list.

What you may want to do for going forward is to set each forum default for 'from the beginning' and then choose the query to set each user default to "forum default" rather than keeping the forum default at 30 days or something and setting the users override to 'from the beginning'.

Then you won't have to go back and do it after new people register.

          Forum!! ding! ding!
Ok, that's si the only place I had not looked. Was the options for each forum. I found what I was looking for their.
I didn't want to force everyone to use "Beginning" I wanted to set the default so the users that didn't realize they could change it.. would already be at "Beginning"

Thanks you were a big help!

On second thought -- looking at that, it appears that the query only updates the forums enmasse, not the individual user selection.

Ok -- then edit to add -- just run the query for 'from the beginning' and that will take care of it.

Hrm. Thought it was a default in the SQL queries dropdown?

I am not seeing it, but you can set all users to the forum defaults by running:
                  Code:
                  UPDATE user SET daysprune=0;
