Admin CP settings totally screwed up

I've just upgraded from Gamma to RC3.

I added some new admin settings (2 new groups), after the update these are completely bodged

In the drop down setting list, they have lost there group names and are just blanc. On actually opening the now blanc groups, the settings remain, but only varname and default value have survived, everything else has been lost!

    Any help?

It looks like you didn't upload all the RC3 files. Start by reuploading the options.php file. Make sure you upload in ASCII and overwrite the one on the server.

I downloaded RC3 from the this site, extracted it directly to my local webserver and ran the upgrade process on the database.

        No uploading occured.

Side Note. The files were extracted into a seperate folder, nothing was overwritten.

This seems more appropiate for vbulletin.org as you added these settings to the system, either by enabling $debug or through the database directly. In either event we do not support either choice.

Be that as it may, however if vb cannot import settings correctly that it added itself, maybe something should be looked at.

I can send you the setting.xml file i generated.

As it is, i manually re-added each setting.
