Sorry, I don't have a Mac and can't comment. Perhaps you should start a new thread since questions like this tend to get lost in large threads.

Just ran the script in Safari, and it deleted all the cookies no problem. I went through and deleted one at a time, and checked after each deletion, and sure enough, each time, the cookie was gone.

Excellent! Thank you for trying this out and coming back with your experiences. I appreciate it.

It sounds like the mycookies.php script does, indeed, work with Safari...

cookie or redirecting problem, index.php or index.php?

              Hi,

i am admin of a vbulletin 3.0.0 forum hosted by a commercial firm.

since a week, i have a lot of problems login in. Before, i loged in without any problems with the cookie. On other computers loging in with my username is not a problem, nor login in on this computer when using another windows xp account. ( so a cookie problem?)
I also tried removing cookies on several ways, i even removed the index.dat file in the cookie folder in save mode.
this moring, i uploaded the mycookies.php script, using it doesn't resolve the problem.

in vbulletin admin panel, the cookie path or other parameters have not been changed, firewalls have been disabled and don't influence the problem.

              i noticed the following:
when i use the url to acces the forum like this ....../forum/index.php?, i am inside without any problem.
when i use ....forum/index.php i go to the login screen again and again.

once inside (first option above), i can surf nearly the entire forum. I have found one execption so far, when i go to who's online, i get the login screen again. Eplorere shows me this url : ....../forum/online.php?
when i remove the ? and press enter, i can access this page. and get back the the main forum page. By clicking who's online: same problem, clicking back to ....../forum/online and i can acces the who's online page again.

hope this helps for you to help me.

              Kind regards

              Eric Delaeter

Scott, would this also work for my VB2 I'm still using? I have members on occasion that can't stay logged in and they are on AOL and flip flop between AOL browser and IE with little to no luck. This is a rarity but still a problem.

Will this script work okay for the vb2 user as well?

Wow. I guess I won't try that script. Thanks for letting me know.

I don't know why it did this. I am using the same one on VB3 that I used on VB2 and have not had a problem. I have used it myself several times.

That's strange since it doesn't have anything to do with your index.php it only cleans cookies from your computer..it doesn't do anything to your board?

Yep, very strange indeed. There is absoultely no way this script would cause that problen. Something else happened.
