      Try this:

I type in my username and password...it says 'Thank you for Logging In' and it brings me back to the login. ...and every time, it adds an & to the query string (ignore the brackets...the s was stripped when I posted this): non-pro/testvb/admincp/?&&&[s]=b5a4940b657941fe8515e1ca1a4b2d7f

I'm on Mac OS X.3 (Panther) and Safari 1.2 - no, this script does not work.

However, on Mac OS X.3 and Internet Explorer, this script does work.

This script is not working for my users, they still have to keep logging in. Even when they delete all of their cookies via the script and manually, it still keeps happening. This only started when I upgraded from 3.0.1 to 3.0.3... I set it up like this:
          http://www.homeurl.com/ is 3.0.1
          http://www.homeurl.com/forums/ is 3.0.3

Should I change my cookie settings to control the entire domain ( .homeurl.com )? Could this be the problem?

Cookie domain could definitely be the problem. Unless you have a very good reason for doing otherwise, I would leave the cookie domain blank and the cookie path set to /.

That's how it's set right now and I'm having these problems. I'm just trying to find a fix.

Then I really don't know why your users would be having this problem. Are you running the default vB files and templates?

There's a couple mods installed, so I guess you're going to send me over to vbulletin.org...

I've been combing both forums, but this does seem to be an issue with VB. What would changing the domain do to the cookies? I'm willing to start experimenting at this point. After just going through an upgrade, I really don't want to put the users through a teardown and buildout again.

Unless you have a very very specific reason to modify the cookie settings DO NOT. 9/10 times modifing the cookie domain and folder will cause your board to become unusable.

That's my exact thought, Zachery. I don't like changing things from the default unless I have to (I always figure there's a reason it was made that way), I'm just looking for a soloution to the issue and since I'm not that bright... I'm stabbing in the dark so to speak.

                        Try the fix_login script found here ( http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...257#post486257 ).

If you need to globaly log everyone out the only thing i can think of off the top of my head would be modifying the cookie prefix (found in config.php)

So, just so I don't pooch this...
I should change the cookie prefix in the config.php to log everyone out, then run the fix_login.php script?

run fix_login first and see if this fixes the errors, if it doesn you can try the config.php edit.

Ran the fix_login script. I'm going to give it a couple days and see who complains. I hate troubleshooting a problem that I can't re-create.

                              Thanks for your time/help.
