    blank pages

I'm stumped on something and need help.

I upgraded to php 4.3.4 and mysql 4.0.16. All was right with the world. The forums still worked.

Started to install mmcache, but the installation process died early because it couldn't find a directory. The forums seemed fine after the failed installation.

Asked the webhost to turn off safe mode because when they upgraded ensim last week it got turned on.

Next thing I know, I have all white pages for the forums and admincp.

    reuploaded config.php. No good.

    phpinfo works: http://www.eaforums.com/phpinfo.php

    the gallery still works http://www.eaforums.com/gallery/

restarted mysql and the web server. No good.

What on earth could be making the forum pages all white? I'm utterly stumped.

White pages often are caused by white space in config.php. Make sure there is no whitespace or extras lines in config.php either before the <?php or after the ?>.

checked that. The file's fine. If I delete config.php, I get the errors that say it's not there. But, if I put it back, I get white spaces. For what it's worth, I haven't tinkered with the php files since upgrading yesterday. The board worked fine until about half an hour ago (after upgrading php, etc.)

I don't think it's a vbulletin bug. Just utterly stumped as to why other php pages are working fine (and other mysql pages too) but not vbulletin.

Rebooting the server fixed it. Thanks for trying to help, Scott.
