Anyone know why this occurs in IE and Netscape for Mac (see attachment)?

I just checked it on my Firebird 0.7 (Mac) browser. Same issue.
The "Camino" Mac browser (also by Mozilla) seems to display everything fine though:

The first screenshot is from IE 6.0 on Windows Me. The second screenshot is from Camino 0.7 on Mac OS X 10.3.1.
Just to note, in order to get the last post colum to display as you currently see it in the Camino screenshot, I had to modify the forumhome_lastpostby template. I added two tags before the $lastpostinfo variable. Prior to making the minor template modification, it would display something like this in Camino:
"by Chris04WRXYesterday 07:00 PM"
(It would display all smashed together.)Last edited by Chris04WRX; Tue 16 Dec '03, 8:33am.Comment

I honestly think almost everyone is having a problem with the Last Post colum. The minor fix that I mentioned in my previous post allows the colum to work a little more nicely with the browsers that understand the "float" tag which is present. However, the only browser I have yet to see that properly understands the float tag is Mozilla's "Camino" for Mac OS X. From what I've viewed personally, Safari 1.1 for Mac, Mozilla Firebird for Mac, IE for Mac, Netscape for Mac, and IE 6.0 for Windows all do not display the Last Post colum correctly. Each of the browsers that I just listed seem to behave in their own (incorrect) manner when it comes to the float tag. Since this seems to be such a widespread issue, I am willing to bet the developers will work on a fix for it.

In the last post colum here, it says "by {username} and date" all on one line, how come there's a break on mine? Also, the last post column here is much wider than mine. Am I missing something? The reason I ask, is because it forces the forum title tables to be much deeper than I need them to be.Comment

Are there plans to do the tags another way to prevent this for Mozilla?

I can't seem to find any information on this subject no matter how much poking around i do. Basically my issue is that when you hit enter while typing up a post, once you click post, the spacing doubles....
