Members with <20 posts cannot post links?

I'm afraid I have no idea of how to approach this, or what terms to search for.

Basically, I want to prevent members from being able to post a link - or have a sig link - until they've achieved around 20 posts.

It's a way of trying to combat spammers automatically.

Feel free to refer me to other threads if too long an explanation is requiered. Any help is much appreciated.

you can set sig permissions on a per USERGROUP setting

1. change the name REGISTERED to "NEW REGISTERED USERS" and set permissions for users to not have sigs
2. create a new usergroup -- name it REGISTERED
3. Now ... enable sigs to the new usergroup
4. Go to Promotions and create a new "promotion"
5. promote NEW REGISTERED USERS users who have been on board for 30 days or have made 20 posts
   • Days Registered - 30
   • Post Count - 20
   • Promotion Strategy - "Posts or Reputation or Date"
   • Promotion Type - Primary Usergroup
   • Move User to Usergroup - "REGISTERED" (the new usergroup you just created)
