    Automatic Thread Subscription Mode

Never found my answer in a search so here goes.

Another board I have been visitng lately has this "problem" Not my board.

    Beta 7 clean install.

I go into my usercp and in the Automatic Thread Subscription Mode I select "do not subscribe to threads" Click "submit modifications" Now if I post in a thread I am subscribed to the thread.

I go back to my usercp and see that "subscribe to thread without email notification" is now selected. I change it back to "do not subscribe...." click submit and then I go right back and look and it hasnt saved it. I am still at "subscribe without email notification" Even after saving my changes and doing nothing but going back and looking at my settings again.

    Is this "intended behaviour"

I am running my test forum on Beta 7 and soon to be my live forum and do not have this issue.

    Does this happen here?

It is not intended behaviour but some boards force this against their members.

      lol

I just came back to post that no it doesnt happen here.

I dont think they want it set to force it though since several members have complained..and they are new with the beta....

How do you turn it off?

      Usergroup setting?

The only way they could force it is by changing the templates. They would have to revert their templates.

It is a beta 7 bug with new installs. See this bug report for the fix:

I'm having this same trouble but I upgraded from beta 6.

I didn't quite understand the fix above so I'm having someone help me with it, he says it looks like the fix doesn't need to be applied...

If you're convinced it's new installs only do you have any idea of what templates I should try reverting?
