    Small problems with vB3 B6

    Hi folks,

I upgraded to beta 6 after first upgrading from 2.2.9 to 2.3.2.

Since upgrading I'm having a few small issues
    1. My default icon (icon1.gif) isn't getting displayed whenever required. On the homepage I get the blasted red x. Same on any showthread or forumdisplay page. The gif does exist under the Post Icon Manager, as I've already checked. When I right click the red x and choose properties, the address it's pointing to is http://www.webdevforums.com/1.
It's only the default one that doesn't show, all others are fine.
    2. I get a javascript error on every showthread page. It reads:
      Line: 75
      Char: 1
      Error: 'is_ns' is undefined
I have the WYSIWYG toolbar enabled, if that's any help
    3. The expand/collapse links in the left frame of the admin area keep reloading the frame when clicked. If, for instance, the Options section is collapsed and I click to expand it, the frame reloads and the Options section is still collapsed. If I then click Expand the second time around it works, but not always. Sometimes it requires another click. I'm using IE6 on Win XP. This problem is very irritating to say the least.
That's it. I hope you have nice easy fixes for these

cant help you with 2 & 3 but #1 go into your acp and in the vbulletin options under "thread display options" (showthread) in the section that says "show default icon" it probably has a 1 in there....

I had that problem on my test forum...I havnt upgraded my live forum yet...

but I fixed it by changing the "1" to

    images/icons/icon1.gif

Regarding # 3 above. I just noticed that when I log into the admin cp the URL reads http://www.webdevforums.com/admin/?nojs=1

Does the ?nojs=1 mean it thinks Javascript is on or off? I js enabled btw.

I had that exact same problem with the javascript... i notice that only half the file had uploaded.
          try re-uploading vbulletin_global.js (clientscript folder)
          That worked for me.
          I'm going mad, wanna come?

            Hi Mike,

Thanks for the suggestion, but after reading another thread about the editor I tried what worked for them and it worked for me too

            I reverted the headerinclude template.

Btw devs, my admin problem seems to be sorted now too. I don't think reverting the template did that, but it's working, so I'm not gonna complain

I'm backing having javascript problems. Some of the members don't like the idea of clicking the reply button to enable the quick reply box. When I disabled this option the quick reply doesn't work at all. I'm unable to type inside the box. When I click the quick reply button that normally enables the box itself it gives a js error and automatically goes to the advanced reply page.

I've reverted all modofied templates back to their originals for the vB3 style, which is what the forum is using. There are ones for vBulletin 2 Default - Old Custom Templates. Could they be causing problems?

Devs, any ideas on this? I really want the wysiwyg editor available.

Can you post what settings need to be enabled/disabled, which template should be set to their original and what js files control the way it works, so I check them? Thanks

Are any of your editor templates modified?

Scott, my default style is Web Developer Community Forums vBulletin 3 Style. I reverted all updated templates back to their original. When I run the "Find updated templates" I get "All templates are up to date".

you'll need to give me a test account for your forums to have a look.

Preferably an account with admin access so i can change what ever is needed.
