This user has not registered and therefore does not have a profile to view

I'm not really sure if this is a problem but I just know I never saw this message before. I get this recently whenever I go to check out a new members profile. What exactly causes this and if people arent registered how are they showing up as members and how do I change this from allowing this.

    Thanks

It could be that they have done the registration, but not responded to the email to activate the account.

I turned that feature off so that they dont have to click that link in an email to activate their account

I turned it off also and had like 71 members when I upgraded from vB3 beta 3 to vB3 beta 4.

Got the same error, although they ARE posting and if you go to a member directory they are listed fine there.

Only way my members could post is via the quick reply.

So this is an actual problem. I really wish one of the support people would answer but they are probably very busy. So I will be patient.

If I knew the answer I would have posted it. I can't duplicate this problem on my test forum.

Yes it is a big problem. I had to downgrade back to vB3 beta 3 because of this. I also have a post regarding this in this same exact forum but no one ever answered it.

Sorry to be double posting but if this helps I had a copy on setup on my personal computer (personal) and on my web server (live forum). The server settings are:

Server Type: Linux / PHP v4.3.1
                    MySQL: v4.0.13

                    My personal computer:

                    Server Type: WIN32 / PHP v4.2.3
                    MySQL: v4.0.0-alpha

Both were upgraded to vB3 beta 4 from vB3 beta 3.

The newest member thing works perfectly for me. It is the posting and user profiles that don't work.l
