    External linking ?

I notice you can add a 'ghost forum' ie a link to an external locaation such as a chat room or a different site. Is it possible to add a link to a 'mirror forum'

    Example:

    Forum A
    Forum B
    - Forum C
    Forum D

All very simple, but what if forum C were to be of interest to those users of forum D too ? Could we have:

    Forum A
    Forum B
    - Forum C
    Forum D
    - Forum C

Does that make sense ? Basically, can a forum be displayed in more than one location ? I presume that I can easily add a 'ghost forum' link as a subforum of forum D, but is there a way to retain full info such as last poster, etc ??

You can link to whereever you want, but you can't get the last poster info without hacking.

Would this be a major addition for a future release ? 3.1.0 ? If it is possible by hacking (I don't know if it is but it would be good!) then I presume it'd not be impossible to add it as a standard feature ?

It would be easy to hack as a one-off for a specific forum(s) but it's harder to hack as a full feature. However it could be included in a future version - we're frozen on major new features now except what is already on the list for 3.0 but shout about it for 3.1 or 3.2 and hopefully we'll be able to include it.
