My Vbulletin was installed about 6 years ago by someone that is no longer with me. I have been winging it for the past couple years, but really seem to be out of my league. I do not know Html and much of the language that comes with maintaining the site. I currently have a few issues.. I have adsense. It's banners are blocking my seach engine thereby not making it possible for people to do a search. I also can not seem to figure out how to add smilies. It says something about a PHP, but I don't even know waht a php is. I also wnat to update-- but am afraid to even attempt it.. Does Vbulletin offer some type of service to directly solve these problems for you? Thanks.

How is the adsense blocking the search engine, in what way? What is the exact php message you get when trying to add smileys. The more info you give us the better.
About the upgrade, it is very easy to do it. Simply follow the instructions at the read me file inside the vb package or here at the forums and you can''t go wrong. It would be also best to make first a thorough backup of your db prior tot he upgrade and make sure that it is done properly. You can do so by restoring it at your test forum and then upgrade that first and see how things will go. And then proceed with upgrading the main forum. -
