help fixing this problem

mysql error number: 0



i've read the sticky here which explains the problem...

but i havent opened my ftp in 2 years probably so i totally forget how to fix this kind of problem..can someone explain what i need to do in order to fix my config.php file?

nothing you can just open config.php file within any text editor, then make sure all db infos are correct, host , port , user , password and database name. there is some extra information in the config.php or on the online vbulletin doc.

You may have reach your maximun connect for your server and would need to request from your host to increase the number a bit more.

it appears to be permanent and according to the sticky that means i need to fix the config.php somehow.

Make sure your host has not upgrade MySQL to over PHP 4.x and MySQL 4.x

Admin CP > vBulletin Options > Server Settings and Optimization Options > Public phpinfo() Display Enabled

You can easily see if database_name, user/password and full path to file(s) are correct(this maybe an option for path to files)

i cant get into my usercp or anything to do with my vbulletin..this error prevents me from seeing anything.

Either the info in your config.php file is wrong, the db user does not have full permissions to this database, or there is a problem with your server.
