    promotion based on subgroup

Is their a way to "promote" based another subgroup?

Say they have "subgoup 1" and over 10 posts they get "subgroup 2"

Choose the Usergroup you want this promotion to apply to. It's the first option when setting up a new promotion.

      Thats what i figured....

I setup a promotion based on that concept.

so far nobody is in the new group and they only need 1 post to qualify for promotion.

Promotions are done by a Scheduled Task. Scheduled Tasks are triggered by code in the footer template, so if you have modified this template or added code to other templates it may interfere with the running of the tasks. Also if there is no activity on your forums, the task won't run.

Then you either have something wrong in your settings, or you have another add-on that is interfering with this. This does work with the original vB code when setup correctly.

Could this be version based? The forum is running 3.0.1.

I should upgrade buts its a pain to recustomize.

I don't' have a unmodified test set. But the mods I do have should not effect this. (trader ratings, sig once per page, prevent attachemnt viewing from other sites) And the other promotions work fine.

You'll need to upgrade to at least 3.0.17 first. That version is too old to support any longer.

If I upgrade it will be to 3.6 but at this point I'm not ready.

Thanks anyway I'll find another option.
