Hi

how do I change a License on a running forum?

What I have to do is move a forum to a webhotel out in town. Now the site is running on my server, with my "Owned License".

The persons that is takeing over the site have a "Leased License" and I will like to change it, without haveing to reinstall the forum.
So we can chage licensen, export the database and import it on the new host.

You don't have to re-install or run upgrade scripts.

If you run version 3.5.4 for example they just have to replace the files with their own 3.5.4 files.

If they run a version lower then 3.5.4 I recommend to upload 3.5.4 and run the upgrade script.

If any source code modifications have been applied to your 3.5.4 files they have to re-apply them to their files.

Always make a backup first of the database and the files in case something goes bad - this way you can revert and start over.
