    PHP Server Translation path

Not sure on the exact name, however its something along the line of server translation path, Basically I installed plesk on a win 2003 server, and the php translation path comes out as: D:/intetpub/vhost/mysite/httpdocs/vb/forum which I put into the vbulletin config file (which works) however Im not sure if im too used to *nix boxes where the translation path is actually from the root of the site, which I thought would be the same and be /httpdocs/vb/forum (which is the path via ftp) But doesn't work only the full path (D:/...) will work, but this looks really ameturish, and is annoying to keep having to put it in when I upload new addons, is this simply a windows problem or is there a setting in php.ini config which I can edit to simply ignore the first bit and take the root to be from for example /vhosts/ onwards?

    Cheers,
