    Setting minimum posts for signature

I'm fairly new to VB. I've been looking for a permission to require all users to post a minimum number or posts before they can add a signature. What is the simplest way to do this?

    1. Set the Registered usergroup so that sigs are not allowed:

Admin CP -> Usergroups -> Usergroup Manager -> Edit

    2. Create a new usergroup with the appropriate overall permissions, incluging turning on sigs:

Admin CP -> Usergroups -> Usergroup Manager -> Add New Usergroup

    3. Create a Promotion to promote users that reach this post level to that group:

Admin CP -> Usergroups -> Promotions

      Thanks Steve,

I think I have it working.

Does this look right for you in the last two fields of the New Promotion?

      Promotion Type = Primary Usergroup

Move User to Usergroup = My new usergroup with permissions granted/post minimum.

I'm sure you're not using 3.0 are you?

The Promotion scheduled task will pick up everyone that needs to be moved

You can manually run the scheduled taks instead of waiting for it to run, yes. Run the User Promotions task from:

AdminCP > Scheduled Tasks > Scheduled Task Manager
                  Vote for:

                  - Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe (vB6)
