Creating a forum that is NOT inside a forum?

OK firstly I am very new to this so please bear with me. I am rebuilding a cellular forum called Wireless-Florida and want sperate forums inside for Wireless Carier Discussion, Wireless Manufacturer Discussion etc. etc but when I make a new forum (e.g. Wireless Manufacturer Discussion) instead of making a seperate forum it puts it in as a SUB forum of an existing forum!

I have this afore-mentioned forum set to NO PARENT and have tried using DISPLAY ORDER to put it in the correct location but it is STILL a SUB forum!

I know this is prolly something simple but for the life of me I cannot figure it out!!!!

You need to create a parent category for it, otherwise it will look like a subforum when it's not.

Change CKEditor Colors to Match Style (for 4.1.4 and above)

Create a category and make that the the parent of this forum.
