delete a users account

how do i delete a users account?

Admin CP -> Users -> Search for Users

Find the account. There will be a delete option in the menu.

edit: make sure you prune the user's posts before deleting their account if you want to do that.

I need to find the user another way because they've signed up a name with invisible characters so that they could copy another users name.

Do you know their userid number? If so, you can go directly to this page:

http://www.yoursite.com/forum/admincp/user.php?s=&do=edit&userid=X

Where X is the userid of the user.

How do I prune the posts? Does it really matter if I just leave their posts?

Admin CP -> Threads & Posts -> Prune

If you delete the user without pruning, then their posts will show as being posted by a "Guest."
