Use URL forwarding instead of actual domain name?

I would like to create shortcut to my forum using URL forwarding

eg. my forum is located at http://www.mydomain.com

Using web redirection from DynDNS , I will create something like http://myforums.webhop.net which will point to http://www.mydomain.com

What should i do such that all the links appear in the forum will use the new URL that i created?

eg. I want to see..

http://myforums.webhop.net/showthread.php?t=123

instead of

http://www.mydomain.com/showthread.php?t=123

If URL forwarding can't work, what other method can i use?

what I want is to use the sub-domain from dyndns to point to my domain without showing its name.

This is where you change [URL]

Admin Control Panel >> vBulletin Options >> vBulletin Options >> Site URL and Contact Details.
Change the URL to the forum there.

thanks, but I have tried and it doesn't work

After I changed the site URL and contact details, it still showing mydomain instead of the webhop URL.

I have tried to logout and clear cache too.
