How to use Search for other Applications?

Hi,

we want to use the search from our vbulletin in our global search for the site. Now we have the problem, that if we go for the database/tables it will find everything, that means also all restricted forums.

How can we avoid this?

The search from vBulletin use the user-rights for the search. How can we use them too?
