Going back to thread list after posting message/reply

I have searched here and looked through our backend but can't find it. Is there anyway to make it so that when a member either creates a new thread or posts a reply, that they are taken back to the thread list for that forum vs left in the thread they just replied too?

I'm fairly sure that this'd require modifying the code. However it's a fairly simple modification and the people at vBulletin.org should be able to help you do this.
