Fatal error: Call to undefined function: is_browser()

Hi...

i just tried to upgrade from vb3.04 to 3.07,
i uploaded the new files and then when i tried to
run the /install/upgrade.php script , i got this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: is_browser()
in global.php line xxxx

in the line "xxxx" there's a call to the function is_browser()
that resides in the file /includes/functions.php
and do EXISTS in the new (already uploaded) functions.php file
but it's not found by global.php ...

In the file global.php, the functions are loaded this way:
require_once('./includes/functions.php');
so i guess the OLD functions.php file was loaded ONCE
and then stored in some place to avoid reloading the file...
the problem is that global.php does not load the new file now...

Whan can i do?

i already tried to empty the browser temp files,
cache, reload the page, etc
but the error is still there...

Any suggestion?

Sounds like you don't have all of the files uploaded properly

the files are uploaded correctly, (double-checked permissions and ascci transfers)

i'm pretty sure that the problem resides on the script instruction:
require_once('./includes/functions.php');
that still has the old file loaded in somewhere
and is not loading the new one, because it already
loaded it once..


any ideas?

Honestly, it's hard to see how you could get this error with the original vB files in place. Specificcally this function is defined in includes/functions.php.

the functions.php file was modified to work with some hack-addon,
but i'm 100% sure that is not the hack/modification itself...

I just did this bug-test, please read:

i uploaded the original vb file: /includes/functions.php
and there were not problems ...

then i opened the original file in my HHDD,
and i modified it in just one line of code (added a small comment) :

// this is a small comment

i saved the file and uploaded again
and i got this error:

Parse error: parse error in /var/www/html/forum/includes/functions.php on line 2019

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: is_browser() in /var/www/html/forum/global.php on line 59

what's wrong?.....

how can i manage to reinstall all my modifications

any sugestion?
