A test copy

I am doing some web development for my new site running under another tempory domain. Ie. I run my live site at methodshaving.com and my test test at methodshaving.net

If I am not mistaken I can run a test copy of vb to do development. Where can I find info on setting up a test copy?

If you already have a licence for vBulletin, you can run a test forum, but it has to be password protected and such.
