file not found errors

I'm getting some strange errors which seem to be causing some performance issues for my users.

1. In my log I get the following error occurring constantly:

[Wed Mar 30 19:34:52 2005] [error] [client 65.8.86.230] File does not exist: /home/dan/public_html/favicon.ico

The favicon.ico file is in my vbulletin directory (/bendisboard/) why is the program looking for this in my root directory?

I'm also getting reports of the following:

I've been encountering this screen the past few days.I can usually refresh and get rid of it.But sometimes I can only get back by using my Favorites bookmark:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /bendisboard/memberlist.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/1.3.33 Server at www.606studios.com Port 80

1. Upload the favicon.ico file to your public_html directory.

2. Can you duplicate this problem? Try logging in as this user to see if you have the same problem. If you don't, then the cause is somewhere on their end. It's impossible to know exactly what it is but some possibilites are: browsers, browser settings, Internet and security settings, ISP and/or cache issues, firewalls, ad-blockers, and any other application that affects Internet content.

The first error I have not been able to reproduce... but from the number of error instances I've been getting, it seems to be very common.

I'm also getting in errors finding the following files:
_collapsed.gif
cp_collapse.gif
cp_expand.gif
viewtopic.php
these files I cannot find in the dir "/bendisboard/"

None of thos files should appear in the main forum directory. Nonetheless you should just reupload all the original vB files. And viewtopic.php is not a vB file.

Those files are getting the following error:
client denied by server configuration: /home/dan/public_html/bendisboard/image.php

This sure sounds like a server issue. Try a Google search for:
