Is there any legal way to distribute changed files?

We know that license deny to distribute natural vB files.
For example, as we understand, if we had made a hack, we can publish a part of code to determinate place there changes have to be made. Example: find "case 'w":.
And also we can publish the code which have to be added, or code to which it have to be replaced. Replace it too "insert into ...."
Basically, it's some kind of distribution of files:-)
So, the first question is - there is the border? Can't publish files, but can publich part of files?

The second question is. Vbulleting, vbulletintemplates, if we remember correctly, allow registration only for "valid" vbulletin users, or they sharing access there by this. We remember something like this. So, do they have the right to publish code as far only members will be accessed there? Can we make the same thing (sharing access or/and publish)?

The last question is. Which is most easy and legal way to distribute hacks for vB? For accident peoples? For legal vB users? For our customers?

The very last question:-). The point is that if modification is enough hard and complex, then it's highly unreasonable to pressure customer to make changes himself if we can just drop file. If we can't drop the file (as we understand it from license), then how legal for someone to give us access to his forum and let us to make modifications itself? Is the access to files are equal to distribution in this case?

Give us short imagination about all these things please.

No, you cannot distrubute vB files - modified or not. Sorry. The only option is to either provide the instructions on how to modify the files or to offer a service in which you modify their files for them.

It is legal for someone to give someone else access, but by doing so they are opening themselves up to the potential of having their files accessed and distributed illegally. For this reason we strongly recommend that people be very careful before providing such access.
