    License Expired?

My vBulletin has stopped working all of a sudden. I think it is because I need to renew my license.

If you have an owned license, it doesn't expire. Only vB support needs to be renewed every year.

I don't think I have an owned license. I have renewed it twice now. Would it automatically cause the error above if I had not renewed it?

I'd contact your host as your website is no longer 'parsing php files' please backup your config.php file asap and then remove it from the server.

No it wouldn't automaticly cause the error, you would be emailed about it. Your host may pull the plug on your site but they wouldn't stop php working.....

Check out the members area here which should give you details about when your license expires.

BUT PLEASE REMOVE YOUR CONFIG.PHP file ASAP after downloading it...

You should probably also get your isp to change your mysql password as the chances are someone will have the password to it if yours is a busy site.

It looks like instead of running the .php script, your site is displaying it as if it is a text file. I went to <removed due to license number being displayed> and it is displaying the content of your index.php file. You may want to check with your host.

I'm sure by now, your files are compromised. Make sure to change the password and the database name ASAP.

well, the database USER name. The base name itself shouldn't matter that much...

I downloaded the config file and deleted it. I will email my host and tell them that my website is no longer parsing php files. What do you suppose is the problem? Just a server error with the host?

seems like PHP just died on your server and is making it TEXT files or something

I have had a problem with people hacking my website before. Could this be another attack? I have never encountered this problem though.

Can I do that myself through CPanel or does the host have to do it?

You do it yourself, and do it now!!!!!! If possible, back up your database too.

host. You can if you have shell access to the database.

I know I have shell access because I transfered my db over to this server. How would I do it with PuTTy? I am still learning the ins and outs of that.
