Images doesn't show after changing the forum domain

We're changing our forum's address from www.primary.url/forums/ to www.forum_name.url/forums/ (and later to www.forum_name.url/). All the files stay at www.primary.url, but our users are going to use www.forum_name.url to access the forums. It works fine EXCEPT for the fact that the images doesn't show when you use www.forum_name.url.

I've tried changing the StyleVariables to absolute addresses without any lasting effect.

Ye olde website: www.fckfc.dk/forums
The new domain: www.sidelinien.dk/forums (careful, the images might be cached after visiting ye olde website, but tap F5 and the new domain appears in the buff)

Try changing your various image paths to relative paths:

Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> StyleVars (in the menu)

For example:

images/misc

OK. Done, but it doesn't seem to make it any better.

The images are there... for example:

http://www.sidelinien.dk/forums/images/statusicon/forum_old_lock.gif

But they only load if you directly link to them in a new window. There appears to be some kind of restriction on your server, possibly a referer restriction.
