    Can one of the developers help please

    Quite a few of ny members and me are suffering quite a few Java errors when going in and out of posts.. I have tracked one of them down to the Quick Reply box. I removed a ! from the script and that seems to have fixed the Java error with the Quick Relpy Box. Now we have at least 4 errors poping up from the vbulletin_stedit.js script. I managed to catch 2 and they are ...

    1. // function to initialize the editor
    function vbcode_init()
    {
    ---->>> if (editor_loaded) <<--- causes an error.
    {
    // editor is already loaded, don't try to load it again, as that would be bad m'kay.
    return;

    2. // #############################################################################
    function setfocus()
    {
    ---->>> theform.message.focus();<<--- causes an error
    }
    // #############################################################################

    I can catch the error message with no. 2 while trying to apply a smilie in the Reply to Post box...
    Error theform.message is null or not an object.

    There are also at least 2 more that i am not fast enough to click on Yes to debug the script before the error box dissapears off my screen
    I also get a Java error when i click on a smilie on my site.

    I get 7 errors just editing this post. I havent changed anything on my computer.

    Any chance of getting a fix please.. or at least some help..

    PS i forgot We are using VB3.0.4 with the 3.0.5 init.php script and the vbulletin_stedit.js script from version 3.0.5 but it didnt make any difference

        These errors most likely come from a hacked version of vB's Javascript files. Try to reupload the original files?
        Btw, Java is not Javascript .

          Can you try upgrading to vBulletin 3.0.5 and using original non hack templates or files?

                You are using the ORIGINAL vBulletin files AND templates?

                What do you mean attach two vB's to the same database? Every instances of vBulletin requires a license if it is a live active site.

                    I thought i had permission with my licence to setup a test forum and that is what i have done. At the moment it has its own database Is there a problem with me attaching the test forum to my main database.

                    Now i have made this post if i click on the Quick Reply Box icon along side the quote button then the Go Advanced will hilight and it will take me to Edit the Post and Java error boxes will popup. :9

                      Yes you are (that would be a privet non active board )

                      I cannot confirm this with my own development board, all features are working fine with no js ererors.

                          Most likely it is a template edit gone bad. You can try checking the footer to make sure the vB init is down there
                          Code:
                          <script type="text/javascript">
                          <!--
                           // Main vBulletin Javascript Initialization
                           vBulletin_init();
                          //-->
                          </script>
                          You can also try reverting the headinclude template

                              Are you using norton internet security or anything that filters your internet activity?
