    $cronimage not parsing

I just upgraded to 3.0.3 from 2.3.5, and everything seems fine except for the $cronimage scheduled task functionality.

The footer templates are correct (they include the $cronimage variable) but nothing is getting produced. When viewing source on the page, the following appears:

<!-- Do not remove or your scheduled tasks will cease to function -->

<!-- Do not remove or your scheduled tasks will cease to function -->

What needs to be changed to make this work?

    Thanks

    Revert your footer template.

Change CKEditor Colors to Match Style (for 4.1.4 and above)

If there's no cron task to run, no image will be displayed.

If there is no cron task to run at that time, or there is no cron tasks to run at all?

At that time (ie, on that page view).
