    search index question

i just had a general question about building the search index. what do the numbers mean when running the script? is each one a post or thread - or what?

i'm just trying to figure out about how much longer my rebuild will take.

there are about 140,000 posts... but only ~ 40,000 threads.

also: do you need to empty the search index and then build it? or can you just build it right away after upgrading v2-v3?

nevermind guys, i have gotten an answer.

they are post ID numbers (single posts) for anyone who ever wants to know. maybe you already all knew though.

i guess i'll be here for a little while longer. shouldn't have started doing this in my school library, but i'm at 95,000. quitting now would be a waste of a lot of time!

you could stop, note the id and then start again from that id when you got home
